The Consulate-General in Ho Chi Minh City opened in 1993. The Consul-General Mr Tim Brownbill arrived in December 2008.
British Consulate-General helps to promote trade and investment between the UK and Vietnam. It also keeps the ambassador in touch with political, economic and other developments in their consular areas. The consul is also responsible for the consular protection of British nationals who are temporary residents in, or visitors to, their consular areas.
