Message from the ambassador
Welcome to the website of the British Embassy in Vietnam.
The British Embassy in Hanoi and the British Consulate-General in Ho Chi Minh City are here to work for British interests in this country and to promote greater understanding between Britain and Vietnam. Our two missions also help British citizens visiting, doing business in or living in Vietnam, and Vietnamese citizens interested in the UK. The website answers questions we are often asked: about travelling to Britain and visiting Vietnam, about studying in the UK, and about doing business with British or Vietnamese companies. It sets out the services we can provide for you. Through its office in Hanoi, the UK Department of International Development (DFID) is helping Vietnam implement its strategy for economic growth and poverty reduction. The British Council’s offices in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City promote cultural understanding and educational links between Britain and Vietnam.
I hope you will find this website useful. If anything is unclear or you cannot find what you are looking for, please contact us at the embassy behanoi@hn.vnn.vn or Consulate-General bcghcmc@hcm.vnn.vn With your help, we can encourage more British and Vietnamese citizens to learn what each country has to offer the other.
