 Applying in Ho Chi Minh City

Please note that due to operational reasons, from 8 September 2009, the British Consulate in Ho Chi Minh City will temporarily be unable to accept applications for visas for the United Kingdom until further notice. Applicants who require a visa for the United Kingdom are able to submit their application in Hanoi. We apologise for the inconvenience that this may cause.

The following information sets out what you need to do if you are in Ho Chi Minh City and wish to apply for a visa for the United Kingdom. Please read this information carefully.

If you have already completed your application form and have made an appointment to submit your application in Ho Chi Minh City.

Please contact the British Embassy in Hanoi on (+84 4) 3936 0500 and rearrange an appointment at a convenient time to resubmit your application in Hanoi. Please ensure that you have all the required supporting documentation as normal.

If you are in Ho Chi Minh City and have not yet applied for visa for the United Kingdom.

Please complete the on-line application form and provide all the necessary supporting information as normal. When making an on-line appointment, please schedule your appointment in Hanoi (not Ho Chi Minh City).

• This office only accepts applications meeting Fast-track criteria.
• Applications are forwarded to the British Embassy in Bangkok for processing.
• All other applications will need to apply for the visa direct with the British Embassy in Hanoi.
