Process
All applicants must apply on-line and book an appointment before visiting the Embassy or the Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City. The Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City only accepts applications meeting Fast-track criteria.
To assist the Embassy to process your visa application, you will be required to submit the documentary evidence listed below. The Entry Clearance Officer may also ask for further documentation before a decision can be made on your application. Supporting documentation should be originals and a full set photocopies should also be submitted.
Please ensure that you are applying under the correct category before submitting your application. If you apply under the wrong category, your application may be refused.
Postage fees & refunds
For applicants applying in HCMC, a postal fee of VND 80,000 is also payable (These fees are subject to periodic review).
Please note that visa fee cover the processing of application and is not refundable in the event that the application is refused.

Requirements
- Your completed online visa application form with signature + 01 passport sized colour photograph with light background
- Your current passport (valid for at least six months) and any other passports you have held
- A letter of sponsorship
- Evidence of your savings (if any)
- Evidence of sponsor's finance (six-month bank statements and savings account)
- Evidence of sponsor's employment
- Confirmation of sponsor's immigration status and full photocopy of sponsor's passport
- Evidence of accommodation (mortgage deed or housing department letter)
- Your Marriage Certificate if you are married or Single Status Certificate verified by the Consular Department in Hanoi and the External Relations Office in Ho Chi Minh City
- Evidence of your relationship to the sponsor (eg birth certificate, letters, telephone bills, emails, photos...)
- Your household booklet
