There are three visitor types covered here:

• Visitor visas
• Visitor in transit
• Direct airside transit

Process

All applicants must apply on-line and book an appointment before visiting the Embassy or the Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City. The Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City only accepts applications meeting Fast-track criteria.

To assist the Embassy to process your visa application, you will be required to submit the documentary evidence listed below. The Entry Clearance Officer may also ask for further documentation before a decision can be made on your application. Supporting documentation should be originals and a full set photocopies should also be submitted.

Please ensure that you are applying under the correct category before submitting your application. If you apply under the wrong category, your application may be refused.

Postage fees & refunds

For applicants applying in HCMC, a postal fee of VND 80,000 is also payable (These fees are subject to periodic review).

Please note that visa fee cover the processing of application and is not refundable in the event that the application is refused.

Visitor visas

Requirements:

• Your completed online visa application form with signature + 01 passport sized colour photograph with light background
• Your current passport (valid for at least six months) and any other passports you have held
• Leave letter from your employer (if applicable)
• Invitation letter form your sponsor and photocopies of their passport showing their immigration status in the UK
• Evidence of your savings and property (if applicable)
• Evidence of sponsor's finance and employment (eg six-month bank statements, payslips...)
• Your Marriage Certificate (if applicable)
• Evidence of your relationship to the sponsor (eg marriage certificate, birth certificate, letters, telephone bills, emails, photos...)
• Your household booklet

Visitor in transit visas

Requirements:

• Your completed online visa application form with signature + 01 passport sized colour photograph with light background
• Your current passport (valid for at least six months) and any other passports you have held
• Confirmed flight booking
• Visa for the country of your final destination (if required)

The following documentation may also be required:

• Leave letter from your employer
• Evidence of your savings and property
• Your household booklet + ID Card
